George Cloughley, a former resident of Grimsby and Hamilton, died at his home in Buffalo yesterday, after a brief illness.
In his 62nd year, he was born in Hamilton, a son of the late John and Mary Cloughley. He had lived in Grimsby before going to Buffalo 25 years ago.
Surviving besides his wife, the former Elsie F. Chiverton, are three sisters, Mrs. E. Teeter and Mrs. Roy Teeter of Los Angeles, and Mrs. E. Brockelbank, in England; also five brothers, Andrew and David, Grimsby; James of Wintergarden, Fla., and John, of Buffalo. Funeral was held from the Regan and Leonard Funeral Home, Buffalo, to Grimsby for interment in Queen's Lawn Cemetery Saturday afternoon.
[Ed. should this have read "a week yesterday"? Then death date would be December 8. Also only four brothers were listed.]
