Rose Daniels, widow of Archie Daniels, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Robinson, Main Street West, in her 85th year.
Born in Tapleytown, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Potts, she had lived in Smithville and Stoney Creek for some years, but most of her life had been spent in North Grimsby township. Her first husband was John Madigan and her second, Archie Daniels, was killed in the First War.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Robinson, and Mrs. Ellen Hannis, of Dundas; one son, Luke Madigan, of Hamilton; two sisters, two brothers, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville, on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Interment was in United Church Cemetery, Smithville.
Casket bearers were Leslie Robinson, Edward Topkins, Cecil Robinson, Edward Hopkins, Norman Wilcox, Fred [?], (Smithville).
