Simcoe, June 17th - Jennie Carr, widow of Thomas Edward Partridge, died Saturday at her home, Lot 14, Concession 7, Charlotteville, after a brief illness, in her 73rd year.
A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Carr, Mrs. Partridge was born and raised in Charlotteville and had resided on the same farm for the last 54 years.
She was a member of Walsh Baptist Church and had been active in the Ladies' Aid and Women's Institute. Her husband predeceased her in 1938.
Surviving are five sons, William, of Simcoe; Harry, of Detroit; Clarence and Charles, of Walsh; and Albert, at home; six daughters, Mrs. Harry Ponting, of Ottawa; Mrs. Harold Armstrong, of Simpson, Sask.; Mrs. Michael Cunningham, of Vancouver, and Mrs. J.S. McPherson, Mrs. Emerson Morris, and Mrs. Roy Carter, all of Toronto; two brothers, Lundy and Goldie Carr, of Hamilton; and five sisters, Mrs. Geo. Snook of Turkey Point; Mrs. Clarence Jamieson of Welland; Mrs. William Kemp of Grimsby; Mrs. James Boughner, of Tyrrell, and Mrs. Robt. Miller, of Hamilton; also 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
