A resident of Grimsby for the last 26 years, Mrs. Margaret Cartner, wife of Robert J. Cartner, died last Thursday in a local nursing home, following a lingering illness.

In her 73rd year, she was born in Scotland, in July 1874, coming to Ontario 37 years ago. She was a member of Grimsby Baptist Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Robert J. Cartner, Jun., of Stoney Creek, Matthew of Sault Ste. Marie, and Harry, of Grimsby; also a sister, Mrs. James Crozier, of Southampton, and a brother, Walter Shaw of Saskatchewan.

Funeral was held from the Stonehouse Funeral Home, Grimsby, on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., with interment in Queen's Lawn Cemetery, Rev. George McLean officiating.

Casket bearers were Fred Klingbeil, James Craig, Fred House, Palmer Hill, Jack Morris and Floyd Simpson.
