Brantford, Feb. 16 - One of Brant county's most prominent industrialists, John Harold of Paris, died today in his 75th year.

A former member of parliament for Brant, he later was chairman of the Ontario Workmen's Compensation Board from 1938 to 1944.

Born in Brantford, for a time he was associated with the Massey-Harris Co. here. In 1902 he became a partner in launching the firm of Sanderson and Harold, of which he became president. He took an active part in municipal affairs prior to his election to parliament for one term.

He was prominent in the Canadian Manufacturers' Association and also active in the work of the United Church of Canada.

The late Mr. Harold was well and favourably known in this district as he had been a summer resident of Grimsby Beach for a great many years and was very active on the Board of the Cottagers' Association.
