The death of Harry Coate, 332 Gage Avenue North, Hamilton, occurred Thursday, December 19th, at the Hamilton General Hospital.

Born in England, deceased had been a resident of Hamilton for the last three years. His wife, the former Annie Robinson, predeceased him 11 years ago. Prior to coming to Hamilton, Mr. Coate had resided at Grimsby, and also at Hagersville where he had been a mail carrier, and a member of the Hagersville Police force. He was a member of Philpott Tabernacle.

Surviving are one son, Harry, of R.R. No. 1, Bartonville; five daughters, Mrs. Charles Campbell, and Mrs. Vera Phillips of Hamilton; Mrs. Michael Sweet and Mrs. Charles Wilkins of Grimsby, and Mrs. Ella Milne, of Frankfort; two brothers and four sisters in England, and another sister in the United States; also 16 grandchildren. Remains rested at the J.B. Marlatt Funeral Home where services were held on Saturday with interment in Hagersville Cemetery.
