A pretty June wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walker Morton, Hamilton, on Tuesday, June 12th, at 3:30 o'clock, when their second daughter, Gladys Diane, became the bride of Mr. Paul Ernest Whyte, Grimsby, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Whyte, Ottawa. The bride, looking lovely in a gown of pearl grey canton with black picture hat, and carrying a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses and mauve sweet peas, entered the drawing room on the arm of her father, to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, played by Miss Verna Howard, cousin. The ceremony, which was performed by Rev. George MacKay, Mimico, uncle of the bride, took place under a bower of palms and June flowers. Mrs. Morton, mother of the bride, wore a becoming gown of black canton with corsage of lily of the valley. Mrs. Whyte, mother of the groom, was charming in black crepe and corsage of roses. After the ceremony a dainty buffet luncheon was served. The dining room was most attractive with its profusion of roses and lily of the valley. Later Mr. and Mrs. Whyte left on a motor trip for Rochester and other American cities. The bride's traveling costume was of navy tricotine, black hat and squirrel fur.
