Victoria Catharine Muir, widow of the late Robert H. Walker, of Grassie, passed away at the home of her son, Fred. M. Walker, on Saturday, April 21st in her 81st year. The deceased lady was a life-long resident of Grassie, having been born within half a mile of where she died. She was the daughter of the late Douglas Muir of Grassie, and is survived by one brother, Thos. D. Muir of Grimsby and five sons and five daughters. The sons are Joseph H. and Robert of Grimsby; Bruce Stanley and Edward Leslie of Vancouver, B.C. and Fred M. on the homestead at Grassie. The daughters are Mrs. A.A. Merritt of Bartonville; Mrs. J.G. Stewart, Grassie; Mrs. George Forsyth of Vancouver B.C.; Mrs. Joseph Rymal Tilbury, Ont. and Mrs. John Q. McKinnon, Revelstoke, B.C. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Grassie. The funeral took place on Tuesday, April 24th, service being conducted at the house at 2 o'clock in the afternoon by the pastor of the Presbyterian churches of Smithville and Grssie. Interment took place at St. John's Presbyterian Church cemetery, Grimsby. A large concourse of relatives, neighbors and old friends were in attendance.
