Bridget Peavil Monaghan, wife of James H. Monaghan, North Grimsby, died at her home on Friday, April 6, 1923, at the age of 62 years. Mrs. Monaghan was born in North Grimsby, the daughter of John Peavil and Bridget Monaghan and had lived all her life in the Grassie neighborhood. She was an exemplary wife and mother and a consistent member of St. Joseph's Church of Grimsby, and will be missed by many friends. Besides her husband there are a son, James; a daughter, Margaret; a sister, Mary A. Clark of Hamilton and four brothers, James and Frank of Hamilton, Edward of Cayuga and John of Smithville. The funeral took place on Monday morning, April 9, to St. Joseph's Church where requiem mass was read by the Rev. Father F.J. Sneath, P.P. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
