Full Text

The death occurred at his home on Oak Street, Grimsby, on Monday, Feb. 26, 1923, of Christopher Daniels, in his 71st year. He was born in Richwood, Blenheim township, Oxford county, in June 1851, on the Daniels' homestead, his father being Henry Daniels, a pioneer of the district. He was an agricultural implement salesman for over 50 years and sold the first self-binder ever disposed of, being agent at that time for Harris of Brantford. For some years previous to coming to Grimsby he lived in Brantford, coming here about 2 years ago. Surviving are his wife and two brothers, John, of Hamilton, and Frank, of Burford. Owing to the serious illness of Mrs. Daniels the funeral took place on Tuesday, Feb. 27th, from the funeral parlors of J. Arthur Payne & Son to Queen's Lawn Cemetery, the Rev. Dr. Irwin conducting the obsequies. His brother, John, of Hamilton, and nephew, John A. Aitchison, of Brantford, were present at the funeral.
