The death occurred at the G. and M. hospital, St. Catharines, on Thursday, Feb. 8, 1923, of Sarah, wife of Joseph Brand, of Jordan Station, in her 46th year. Mrs. Brand was born in Saltfleet and was a daughter of the late Theodore Fortman. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Gordon, of Jordan Station, and Harold, at home; four daughters, Mrs. James Troup, of Jordan Station; Gladys, Olga and Olive, at home; two brothers, Edward and John Fortman, of Vinemount, and three sisters, Mrs. David Depew, of Stoney Creek, Mrs. John Depew of Saskatchewan, and Miss Lily Fortman, of Waterdown. The funeral took place to Jordan Station cemetery on Sunday, Feb. 11, the pallbearers being her two brothers, Edward and John, and four brothers-in-law, David Depew, Edward, Fletcher and Wesley Brand.
