Many relatives and friends of John A. Jackson will be sorry to learn of his death in Ochre River, Manitoba, on January 23. Mr. Jackson was born in Scotland in 1847 and came to Ontario when 8 years of age, and resided in Caistor township, Lincoln County, until 25 years ago, when he went to reside with his son, John, in Ochre River, and lived there until his death. Mr. Jackson is the last member of a family of 7 children, his wife having died two years ago. He leaves to mourn three sons, James M., Stoney Creek; John W., Ochre River, Man., and Norman L., Aoka, Minn., and four daughters, Mrs. I. Piett, Grassies; Mrs. J. Piett, Abingdon; Mrs. Alway Green, Anoka, Minn., and Mrs. H. Marshall, Ochre River. 28 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, also one sister-in-law, Mrs. David Jackson, of Grimsby, and one brother-in-law, Mr. E.B. Halsted, of Stoney Creek, survive.
