A former resident of Grimsby and latterly of 177 Forest Avenue, Hamilton, in the person of Mrs. Beatrice E. Book, passed away in St. Joseph's Hospital on Sunday last. Death came as the result of an accident in which the elderly lady was struck by an automobile driven by Willard Baillie, of Aldershot, on James Street, Hamilton, on the evening of September 21st. It was believed Mrs. Book stepped out from behind a parked car into the path of the automobile, and she suffered a fractured left leg and severe lacerations to her face and one arm. Born in England 63 years ago, the deceased lady had lived in Grimsby for a period of time, leaving here about 11 years ago. One brother and 4 sisters in England survive. Following service in the chapel of the J.H. Robinson and Co., Limited funeral home on Tuesday afternoon, burial took place in the Hamilton cemetery.
