Do you remember 10 years ago? From Files of September 11th, 1929 - A quiet but pretty wedding took place at the home of the bride, 298 Rowehampton Avenue, Toronto, on Saturday morning, September 14th, at 11:30 o'clock, when Mr. J.H. Culp, well known merchant of Grimsby, was married to Miss Anne Fyfe, of Toronto. Rev. Wesley McLean, of the Glebe Presbyterian Church of that city, officiated. During the absence of the members of the family, fire of unknown origin broke out in the beautiful and commodious home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Liddle, Main Street East, Grimsby, on Wednesday evening last and, but for the persistent efforts of the Grimsby firemen, backed by a strong water pressure, the residence would have fallen a prey to the flames. The damage was largely confined to the roof of the building and the attic, where considerable summer and winter clothing and other articles were stored, and which were also a total loss.
