Word has been received of the death at Los Angeles, Cal., on Saturday, September 13, of James Anson Lee, a former well known farmer of Tapleytown. Mr. Lee was in his 76th year. The funeral took place last Tuesday at Los Angeles. The late Mr. Lee was born in Saltfleet, and resided there until about 30 years ago when he went west. He was well known in his native township by the older generation, and his death will be a cause of sorrow to many there. He is survived by his wife, 4 sons and 4 daughters, and a brother and sister, as follows: James and Frank of Eriemont, Cal., Mrs. Alva Nelson, Mrs. Karicoffe and Miss Lena of Los Angeles, and Mrs. R.G. Johnson of Dundas. His sister is Mrs. Alonza Beamer of Grimsby and his brother Edward Lee of Summit.
