Description
Full Text

The death occurred on Monday, November 24, 1919, at her residence on Robinson Street South, after a very long prolonged illness, of one of the best known and most highly respected ladies of the district, in the passing away of Mrs. W.W. Beamer, at the age of 70 years. Mrs. Beamer had been in failing health for a considerable period - in fact since the death of her daughter, Mrs. Herschel Smith, of Beamsville, some years ago. The late Mrs. Beamer was a daughter of the late George Thompson, who was Grand Trunk Station agent at Winona for many years; and she had lived practically all her life in this district. She was a lady of most estimable qualities and was greatly loved and respected by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. She was an earnest worker in the Presbyterian Church and her demise will be greatly regretted by all who knew her. The deceased lady is survived by her husband and two sisters - Mrs. R.L. Gibson and Mrs. Jas. Doran, of Grimsby. The funeral is taking place this afternoon, and services being held at the house and graveside by the Rev. L.H. Currie; interment being in Queen's Lawn Cemetery. [Ed. note: first name found in Family Search]
