The home of Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Piett of Grimsby Centre was the scene of a quiet wedding on December 10th, 1919, when their eldest daughter Grace was joined in matrimony to Mr. George Lunt, of Calgary, Alta. The bride was dressed in blue silk with georgette and carried a bouquet of carnations. The bridesmaid Miss Blanche Ripenburg wore a green serge dress, also carrying carnations. Norman Piett, brother of the bride, ably supported the groom. In honor of the groom who is a returned soldier, the home was decorated in red, white and blue. He has travelled quite a number of miles at his country's call, enlisting in Calgary in 1917 in R.F.C., was sent to Toronto thence to Texas, back to Beasmville, reenlisting in the Siberian Force, embarking for Russia on Dec. 24th, 1918. He then got his discharge in Calgary, June, 1919. Guests to the number of 30 were present from Hamilton, Grimsby, Stoney Creek, Beamsville, Smithville and vicinity. The gifts were ...
