Full Text

Mrs. Elizabeth Bentley, wife of William Charles Bentley, 59 Harmony avenue, Hamilton, died on Christmas morning in her 51st year, at her residence after an illness of 8 months. She formerly lived at Beamsville and Grimsby, but had resided in Hamilton for the last six years. She was a member of St. Alban's Anglican church. Left to mourn her death are her husband, one son, Howard; one daughter, Miss Jane, both at home; one sister, Mrs. A. Watelin, Toronto, and one brother, Thomas Howard, in England. The funeral takes place this afternoon to Hamilton cemetery. Though Mrs. Bentley had been quite ill for some time, her death was not looked for and her son and daughter were spending Christmas in Grimsby when notified of her death.
