John Higgins, of Winona, in his 82nd year, died at the home of his son-in-law, Angle Wills, on Friday, Dec. 15, 1922, and was buried in the Fifty Cemetery on Sunday. Mr. Higgins was born in England but had been in Canada 48 years and at Winona for a few months, coming there from Conway, Lennox County. He had been a life-long worker in the Methodist Church and leaves a host of friends. Surviving are his wife, five sons and seven daughters: Arthur, Charles and Delbert, of Kingston; William H. of Gananoque; George J., of Toronto; Mrs. Robert Marks, of Porthmouth; Mrs. Archie McDonald, of Wolfe Island; Mrs. Thomas Orrell, of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. George Francis, of Carmangay, Alberta; Mrs. G.B. Sills, of Sillsville; Mrs. D.E. Roushorn, Watrous, Sask.; Mrs. Angle Wills, of Winona. The pallbearers were four sons: Arthur, Charles, George and Delbert; and two sons-in-law, G. Blake Sills and Angle Wills. The Rev. A.C. Eddy conducted the services.
