SIBBALD - CHAMBERLAIN - At Oakville, on Thursday, Nov. 28, 1867, by the Rev. William Willoughby, George W. Sibbald and Lydia Chamberlain.

Such might have been the notice had there been a paper in Oakville at that time, but The Independent is pleased to be able to publish it 55 years later and announce that Mr. and Mrs. Sibbald are still hale and hearty, and residents of Grimsby, on Ontario Street. On Tuesday, Nov. 28, 1922, they celebrated in a quiet, homely way by visiting friends in Hamilton. There are seven children surviving, but with the exception of Mrs. Robert Kerr, of Leamington, they are all in the west. To their quiet mode of living they attribute much of their present good health, and preferred a quiet day to any ostentation.
