Full Text

One of Lincoln county's widely known men, Isaiah Tufford, of Beamsville, died suddenly at the home of his son, Milton, in Beamsville, early on Monday evening, Sept. 18, 1922. Mr. Tufford for many years was one of the most active men of Clinton township, and in his activities made friends throughout the surrounding district. He was 77 years of age and up to recent years had enjoyed good health, but some two years ago an injury to his hand necessitated amputation, since which time his health has been undermined. Surviving to mourn his demise are six sons, two daughters and a sister: Melvin B., of Dunnville; Milton, Mahlon I., Fred, Charles and Roland, all of Beamsville; Mrs. Arthur Culp, of Beamsville, and Mrs. William Innes, of Hamilton; and Mrs. Sylvester House, of Hamilton. The funeral takes place to Mount Osborne cemetery, Beamsville, today.
