While attending a theatre Monday afternoon, Mrs. Mary A.D. Ptolemy was seized with an attack of heart disease. She had been in apparent good health. The deceased lady suffered a fainting attack in the theatre, and the ambulance was called. She died while on the way to her home. Dr. J.H. Mullin was called and pronounced the cause of death as heart failure. Mrs. Ptolemy was born in Scotland 59 years ago, and came to Canada when quite young, making her home in Montreal until 1885. In 1898 she came to Hamilton, where she had acquired a large circle of friends, who will regret to hear of her sudden death. She was a member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church.
