One of Caistor's oldest and most respected residents passed away on Saturday, April 29, in the person of Sarah Nicholls. The deceased lady was born in Binbrook 83 years ago, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bush. Her husband, George B. Nicholls, predeceased her 25 years ago. Mrs. Nicholls had lived on the farm in Caistor for the past 61 years and was beloved by a wide circle of friends. Surviving are: three sons, George W. and David, Caistor; Samuel of Pittsfield, Mass., and three daughters, Mrs. H. Asher and Mrs. C.H. Snyder of Caistor, Miss Victoria of this city, and one brother, Thomas Bush of Caistor. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon to the Baptist church burial ground. Rev. James Bracken of Hamilton officiated, assisted by Rev. M. Wilsoncraft and Rev. W. Ward. The pallbearers were A. Blaxill, John Young, G. Stewart, A. McKinnell, J.W. Springstead and D. Moyer.
