A highly esteemed lady passed away in Syracuse, N.Y., on Sunday, Feb. 26, 1922, in the person of Elizabeth V., widow of the late Robert T. Lawrie, formerly of St. Catharines, in her 79th year. She is survived by one son, J.M. Lawrie, of Grimsby, and seven daughters, Mrs. Charles Scott of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Mrs. Paul Owen and Mrs. Herbert Hill of Syracuse, Mrs. Thomas Rapsey of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Alfred Pond of Los Angeles, Cal., and Misses Agnes and Irene Lawrie of St. Catharines. The funeral took place in St. Catharines at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, March 1. The services were conducted by the Rev. Dr. G.H. Smith. The pallbearers were nephews and sons-in-law of the deceased, and were Charles Scott of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Paul Owen of Syracuse, William Lounsbury, Charles Lounsbury, Ole Shantz and J. Davis of St. Catharines.
