Mr. Bell's later years were spent on the farm, while he took an active part in municipal affairs, having served as councillor, deputy-reeve and reeve of the township. The last few years his greatest pleasure was in the company of his two little grandchildren. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Young of Binbrook; Mrs. La Barr and Mrs. Vanduzen of Hamilton, and Mrs. Prentice of St. Catharines; five children, David on the old homestead; William of Caistor Township; John of Binbrook; Mrs. Pettigrew and Mrs. Asher.
