Herbert E. Smith, a well known resident of Argona, Ont., died at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Isaac Smith of Fruitland of Friday evening, Nov. 25, 1921, after a very brief illness. Deceased was born in West Flamboro 39 years ago and had resided in Argona for 20 years. He had just completed a transaction which disposed of his farm there, and was on a visit home. Retiring in the best of health, he was suddenly seized with a severe attack of heart failure and died within a few minutes. He arrived home on Thursday. Besides his widow and mother, he leaves two brothers, Rev. G.E. Smith of Beamsville; W.R. of Fruitland, and one sister, Mrs. James Brown of Fruitland. The funeral took place on Monday, Nov. 28 from his mother's home in Fruitland at 2 o'clock to Hamilton cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev. A.C. Eddy of Fruitland Methodist Church. The pallbearers were F.W. Dewitt, J.E. Orr, Alex Glover, Jr., John B. Pettit, A.R. Millen, Frank Millen.
