Niagara Falls, Ont., May 6 - One of the best known figures in Niagara Falls passed away last night in the person of Theodore L. Pitt, at the advanced age of 89 years. Mr. Pitt was one of the original members of the Oneida Community, and was a member of that body for 27 years, then a stockholder in the company. He came here in 1880 and had spent most of his life in Niagara Falls. During late years, Mr. Pitt had been busy on literary work in connection with the peculiar beliefs of the Oneida Community, now called the Peculiar People. He is survived by one son, ex-Ald. Pitt, formerly of this city, and now of New York City.
