Smithville Review - In St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, on Sunday, March 6th, after undergoing operations for gallstones and appendicitis, Martha A. Vaughan, beloved wife of Frank R. Olmsted, Bismarck, passed away. She had suffered for some years and seemed in a hopeful condition after the operations, but complications set in which proved fatal. She was born at Elcho Feb. 15, 1874 where she spent her youth. Since her marriage she resided at Bismarck. Her sorrowing husband and two sons, Percy and Albert, survive; also two grandchildren; her four brothers and two sisters...The funeral held in the Bismarck Evangelical Church was largely attended and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. A.F. Stoltz, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Searle, of Elcho.
