Beamsville Express - After a prolonged illness the death occurred at the home of her son, George Lister, on Sunday, March 6, 1921, of an aged and highly respected citizen of Clinton Township in the person of Mrs. Marion Lister, widow of the late Claude Lister. The deceased was born in Manchester, England in 1836, coming to the city of Hamilton when about 4 years of age, and afterwards resided in Stoney Creek, finally moving to Beamsville in 1888 [where] she had resided ever since. Her husband passed away on November 20, 1914. Many friends sincerely regret the death of Mrs. Lister and extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives. She is survived by two sons, George with whom she had resided for many years, and Robert, both of Beamsville, also one brother and one sister, Mr. Robt. Christie, Hamilton, and Mrs. Robert Mathison of Toronto. The funeral was held from her son's residence on Tuesday, March 8th, at 12:15, interment in Hamilton Cemetery.
