Another Winona pioneer, William Smith, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 1921, at his home on station road, Winona. The late Mr. Smith was in his 81st year and had spent the greater part of his life at Winona. Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Harry, Frank, Joseph, Lily and Louisa. The funeral, which was private, took place on Tuesday, March 1, to the Fifty Cemetery, the Rev. Mr. Noxon of St. Catharines and the Rev. Mr. West of Winona officiating. The pallbearers were the three sons and Curtis Legatt.
