St. Catharines Standard - Miss Ann Tenbroeck, the last surviving member of her generation, passed away Wednesday at her home in Grantham, aged 85 years. The deceased who was the daughter of the late John Reid Tenbroeck was born in Grantham and has resided in this vicinity all her life. Capt. Peter Tenbroeck, great great grandfather of the deceased, settled in Canada in 1796, having secured a crown deed of 1000 acres of land. This land included all of Port Dalhousie, Barnesdale, part of Myhome Farm up to the County Home. The mother of the deceased married a Butler of the old family of Butler rangers. Two brothers and one sister predeceased her some time ago.
