Full Text

The funeral of Mrs. Jonathan A. Book was held from the family residence Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the service being conducted by Rev. J.A. Ballard, Rector of St. Andrew's Church. The interment was in Queen's Lawn Cemetery. Messrs. H.K. Griffith, Hamilton Fleming, Norman Nelles, Chas. Farrell, David Allan and F.W. Pottinger acted as pallbearers. Mrs. Book was the daughter of the late Robert Kemp of Beamsville. She was born in 1855. After her marriage in 1880, she removed to Grimsby where she has resided ever since. She had been in failing health for the last four years, and though every effort was made for her recovery, she grew steadily worse and passed to her rest on the morning of Friday, December 24th. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. James G. Walker, her first-born son having died in infancy... (Mrs. Book's first name appears in death notice in same issue)
