Smithville Review - The funeral of the late John Collins took place from his son-in-law's residence (Mr. Culver Disher) to St. Lawrence Church, thence to the Holy Sepulchre. The late John Collins was well and favorably known by the older people of Caistor, Binbrook and Arthur Townships, where he followed the farming business to a large extent, all being new country in his time. About 13 years ago he moved to Hamilton and lived retired at 365 Catharine Street North. He leaves his only sister, Mrs. P. Hastings, his wife and two sons, John of Hamilton and Dennis of Smithville, also four daughters, Mrs. Culver Disher, Mrs. Arthur Kavanagh, Mrs. Frank Hollis, and Mrs. Frank Adkins.
