Beamsville Express - Lois Jane Culp Brown, born on the shore of Lake Ontario, Clinton Township, on the farm of Mr. Will Culp, in 1843, passed into the Eternal Reward on Sept. 16th, 1920 in the city of Chicago. On Sunday afternoon, Sept. 19th, her remains were placed in Mount Osborne Cemetery beside those of her husband, Rev. Wm. Gould Brown who departed this life in July 1919. The services were held at the Beamsville Methodist Church, Rev. J. Sprague Williamson of Toronto and Rev. A.W. Shepperson officiating. Eight of her children from Chicago, New York City and Ohio accompanied the remains to the last resting place. Many relatives from St. Catharines, Beamsville, Welland, Port Dalhousie, Hamilton and Toronto attended the services.
