A quiet but pretty wedding took place at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday, August 25th, at the home of Mr.and Mrs. Jason L. Merritt, Grassies, when their only daughter, Ellen, was united in marriage to Nathan D. Johnson, eldest son of the late Laban Johnson, of Fenwick. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John Radford, of Smithville, only the immediate relatives of the bride and groom being present. After luncheon, the newly married couple left on the three o'clock train for Boston, where they will spend a few days.
