An esteemed resident of Beamsville, Mrs. C.E Riggins, passed away on Monday evening, May 10th, after an illness of several weeks. The deceased was born in the city of St. Catharines, and had been a resident of Beamsville for the past 49 years. She was a devoted mother and a devout member of the Baptist church, and her demise will be sincerely regretted by a large circle of friends. A loving husband, four daughters, Mrs. Fawell, Beamsville, Mrs. O'Neil, Hartford, Conn., Miss E. Florence, Beamsville, Josephine of Walkerville; three sons, Fred C. of Seattle, Wash., Howard A. of Buffalo, and Frank L. of Listowel survive. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family. The funeral was private, interment taking place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines.
