The death occurred Monday morning April 19, 1920, at the city hospital, Hamilton, of Miss Susan Catharine Pettit, 78 Glendale Avenue, Hamilton. Deceased was born in Grimsby 60 years ago, and had lived in Hamilton for the past 17 years. She was a member of All Saints Church, and her death will be sincerely regretted. She leaves to mourn her death two sisters, Miss Pettit of this city and Mrs. Annie Sturch of Grimsby, and a niece, Mrs. F. Mount, of Hamilton, and a nephew, Edward A. Sturch of Grimsby. - Hamilton Spectator. "Susie" Pettit was the eldest daughter of the late Isaac Pettit and his wife Minerva, and was born in Grimsby where she was well known and liked. While in Grimsby, she was an adherent of St. Andrew's Anglican Church. The funeral is taking place this afternoon to St. Andrew's church cemetery, the Rev. J. Allan Ballard officiating. The pallbearers will be four old neighbors: Richard E. Johnson, Amos Fisher, Albert Graisley and Edward Bentley.
