Katherine Earle, youngest daughter of Alex Earle, Grimsby, and the late Mary Harper Earle, died at the Mountain Sanitarium, Hamilton, on the evening of February 16th, 1920, just two days after her 24th birthday. Her death came as an ending to illness which had held her in retirement since October 1914. The funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Calvin McQueston, was held privately in Hamilton at the home of her aunt, Mrs. J.E. Crawford, and the interment was at the Union Cemetery, Creemore, Ont., on February 18th, 1920. Miss Earle was born in Creemore, Ont. on February 14th, 1896. She received her primary education at the Creemore Public School. Her first High School year was spent at Belleville, Ont., where she stayed at the home of her eldest sister, Mrs. (Dr.) Morley A. Day. she completed her high school courses in Toronto, and prepared for matriculation at the Jarvis Collegiate in that city.
