Woodstock, Jan. 8 - Rev. A.E. Russ, who for three years was pastor of the Central Methodist Church here, and who had lived in the city since he was superannuated in 1900, died at his home this morning, following a long illness. He was in his 87th year. He was a native of Grimsby Township; graduated from Victoria College, and was ordained as a Methodist minister in 1858. He filled charges in Baltimore, Ont., Perth, Trenton, Victoria, B.C., Alliston, Simcoe, Milton, Woodstock, Welland and Niagara Falls South. He is survived by his wife and two daughters , Miss Sadie at home and Mrs. M.S. Schell, East Oxford.
