Percy Barr, who was reported killed in last week's Independent, enlisted just 12 months ago with the 203rd Battalion of Victoria, British Columbia. The regiment went overseas in July last and in September the deceased who had developed into a fine marksman was selected to get into the firing line as a sharpshooter and was killed on the 20th of December last.

Barr - Killed while on Active Service, somewhere in France, on Wednesday, December 20th, 1916, Percy Gladstone, younger son of the late George H. Barr, formerly of Grimsby, Ontario, and of Mrs. Barr, of Victoria, British Columbia, aged 18 years and seven months.
