Full Text

Eli B. Winslow passed peacefully away at his home in Gainsboro, near Winslow, on March 25, 1917, in his 60th year. His wife predeceased him 22 years ago. He had been confined to his bed two months with the fatal disease, diabetes and gangrene. He was a great sufferer during that time which he bore very patiently. He was a kind and loving father; also a true friend and neighbor, therefore will be greatly missed by all... The pallbearers were six members of the lodge. He was buried on Wednesday 28th at the Evangelical church near his home. The services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Stoltz and the Orange Order. He leaves to mourn his loss three sons and one daughter, namely: Elmer, at home; Curtis of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Eli of Jordan and Mrs. Leslie Blanchard of Grimsby.
