Official telegrams received in Beamsville on Monday report the death in England of his wounds, Pte. Frank England, 98th Battalion. Pte. England was 22 years of age the day he died and was the youngest of three sons of Mrs. Henry England, of Beamsville, formerly of England. Frank enlisted last fall with the 2nd Dragoons, but just previous to the moving of the Dragoons to the Mounted Rifles, he along with George Branch and Danny Whittet, was transferred to the 98th Battalion. He also had a brother in the 98th. Pte. England received his wounds about a month ago in the big drive on the Somme, and although they were not considered serious, he was unable to survive them and passed away on Nov. 2nd.
