Full Text

Another of Grimsby's old and respected residents passed away on Thursday of last week in the person of Mrs. Mary A. Madden, who died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. Ira Irvine, South Grimsby, in her 74th year. Although of poor health and a patient sufferer for many years, her death came suddenly and was a great shock to her family and friends. She was a kind and loving mother and a true and faithful friend. Besides a large circle of friends, she leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. Ira Irvine and Mrs. Alvin Althouse, to whom the sympathy of the neighborhood is extended. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to Queen's Lawn Cemetery and was largely attended. The services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Radford of Smithville. The bearers were : W.B. Calder, A.H.Russ, O. Merritt, A. Roszell, Mr. May and David Allan.
