The death occurred at Jordan Station, Friday, of Alex. Troop in his 60th year. Mr. Troop had been a lifelong resident of Jordan and vicinity, and very highly esteemed by all who knew him. He was a staunch member of the Methodist Church and ably filled the office of steward for years. He leaves to mourn his loss a sorrowing wife, four sons and one daughter, who have the deepest sympathy of the community at large. The funeral was held on Monday at 2:30 from his late residence, Jordan Station, thence to Oak Lawn Cemetery.
