Mrs. Agnes Hunter, widow of the late Robt. Hunter, of Maxville, Ont., died at the home of her son, David Hunter, Grimsby East, after a short illness on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1915 in her 61st year. The deceased lady's maiden name was Agnes Bodden. She was born near the city of Ayr, in Ayrshire, Scotland. She was married in Scotland over 41 years ago to Robt. Hunter and came to Canada about 34 years ago, and settled near Maxville, where her husband carried on farming and the breeding of Ayrshire cattle. In August 1912, Robert Hunter died, and since that time Mrs. Hunter resided with her son, David, coming to Grimsby with him when he removed here. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, and being of a kindly and gentle spirit was greatly loved by all who knew her. She is survived by five sons, William, David, John and James, all of Grimsby East, and Robert of Maxville, Ont. Also two daughters, Mrs. T.P. Jenkinson of Grimsby, and Miss Margaret, who resides with her brother David. The funeral is taking place this afternoon from the home of her son, David, near Grimsby East. Service is being conducted by the Rev. L.H. Currie of St. John's Presbyterian Church, Grimsby. The funeral will then take place to the G.T.R. station thence to Maxville, Ont. for interment in the family plot.
