Mr. George Garr, for many years a resident of Grimsby and North Grimsby, passed away at his home on the Ridge Road, North Grimsby, on Thursday, October 28, 1915, after several months' illness. The deceased gentleman was a lifelong resident of this district, being a son of the late Wm. Garr, Thirty Mountain. He moved to the village of Grimsby nearly 30 years ago, where he resided on St. Andrew's Ave., afterwards moving to North Grimsby where he resided up to the time of his death... The funeral took place on Sunday, Oct. 31 and was very largely attended...The deceased is survived by his widow, one son, Harry of Hamilton, and three daughters, Mrs. Geo. House, Hamilton, and two at home; two brothers, William, Toronto, and August, North Grimsby; three sisters, Mrs. Harry VanDyke of Worthington, Ont., Mrs. Oscar Hurst, Beamsville, and Mrs. Ellis Hurst, Beamsville.
