Mr. Geo. F. Little, son of the late Benjamin Little of Grimsby, and brother of Mrs. Fred Andrews and Mrs. W.C. Durham of Grimsby, passed away at Lexington, Ky., a few days ago, at the age of 59 years. When Mr. Little was quite a young man, he went to Lexington and became an engineer on the Louisville and Nashville Railway and held his position on that road up until failing health compelled him to resign. His two sisters, Mrs. Durham and Mrs. Andrews, went to Lexington to see him before his death. The following item clipped from a Lexington paper gives full particulars: "George Francis Little, aged 59, for many years an L. & N. passenger train engineer running between this city and Marysville, died at the Good Samaritan hospital this morning at 6:10 o'clock, following an operation for cancer of the stomach resorted to in the hope of saving his life. Mr.Little was a portly man, weighing over 200 pounds, but several months ago his health began to decline. Four weeks ago, he was removed from his home to the hospital and after an examination an operation was finally decided on. From this he never rallied, passing away at an early hour this morning. Mr.Little was a native of Grimsby, Ontario, Canada, and was one of seven sons... Besides his widow he is survived by six brothers and two sisters. They are Messrs. Benjamin, Samuel, Joseph, Ambrose, and William Little, Mrs. Carrie Durham and Mrs. Sophia Andrews, all of Canada, and Albert Little, of Bowling Green, Ky. The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at Christ Church Cathedral of which the deceased was a member, and will be conducted by Dean Robert K. Massie. The interment will follow in the family plot in Lexington Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Captain John W. Throckmorton, John Cavens, L.J. Dickerson, John W. Lancaster, W.H. Tillor and E.P. Harrison."
