While working around the barn on Saturday afternoon, Mr. C.E. Williams, a well known Grimsby resident, had the misfortune to be kicked in the abdomen by one of his horses, which caused his death in Hamilton hospital on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Williams was busy cleaning the legs of one of his horses, and it s supposed that when he straightened up, the horse kicked at him, hitting him twice. He was immediately taken to his home and medical aid summoned. At midnight, Dr. Clarke decided it best to take the injured man to Hamilton and he was accordingly taken in a machine by Drs. Millyard and Clarke. All in the power of the doctors and nurses was done to relieve his suffering and bring him through but his injuries had been too severe. Mr. Williams has been a resident of this district for some years, coming here from east of Toronto. He had just purchased a farm at Burlington and intended moving there very shortly.
