"We find that Pte. Charles Vanduser met his death while trespassing on the G.T. tracks between 8:45 on the evening of the 13th January and 6:30 a.m of the 14th, and that, from the evidence produced, his death was purely accidental." The above was the verdict arrived at by the jury empanelled by Coroner Herod to consider the circumstances surrounding the death of Pte. Chas. Vanduser of Stoney Creek, a member of the 77th Regt., who was doing duty on the canal. Finding of body:[details]. Last seen: [details]. Medical testimony: [details].
