A Grimsby couple, Mr. and Mrs. James Fisher of 31 Oak Street, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary next week. They will be at home to friends and relatives on Saturday, May 2nd from 2-4 in the afternoon, and from 7-8:30 in the evening at Trinity United Church Parlour, Main Street, Grimsby. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher were married in Beamsville on April 29, 1914 by the Rev. J. Wass. The couple have resided in this area all their lives, are the parents of six children: Mrs. Waldo Nutting (Margaret) of Burlington, Mrs. Harvey Lambert (Madeline) and Bill Fisher of Grimsby, Mrs. Earl Tufford (Kae) of St. Catharines, Mrs. Philip Steele (Betty) of Vancouver, and Flt. Sgt. Ted Fisher, RCAF Trenton. They also have 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A family dinner will be held at Casablanca Hotel on Sunday, May 3.
